Nixing NAFTA: US and Mexico Reach Trade Deal

President Trump announced Monday that the United States and Mexico have reached a new trade agreement, a U.S. step in the direction for replacing the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) in favor of bilateral agreements with both countries.

Trump said he aims to terminate NAFTA, and the US-Mexico deal would replace the agreement. The deal reached between the two nations is primarily focused on the "so-call auto rules of origin" meaning that in order to avoid tariffs, a certain percentage of automobile parts must be manufactured within the countries of the NAFTA region. Many American and Mexican politicians are in favor of the deal, while others believe that it is necessary to include Canada in order to be most effective.

As of Thursday afternoon, there were expectations that a bilateral trade agreement between the U.S. and Canada would be reached on Friday.

Boat Loading & Export

We have the capabilities to load small boats into containers and larger boats onto flatracks. WTDC recently managed the loading of this 33 foot boat below onto a flatrack for a sailing out of PortMiami.
