June 1 may mark the official start of Hurricane Season, but anyone near Subtropical Storm Alberto’s path through the Gulf of Mexico last week can tell you the storms don’t wait for calendar reminders.

WTDC has updated its Hurricane Preparedness Guide for 2018. We recommend all customers keep a copy for future reference and those in hurricane-prone areas review and create their own preparedness plans.

Miami-Dade County has now added an App (ReadyMDC on App Store) to its list of Hurricane Preparedness tools, as seen above. This is a useful tool to track storms and public resources available to Miami-Dade County residents in the event of an emergency.

While WTDC’s infrastructure was not damaged by the record 2017 hurricane season, many of our staff and their families were affected. We will work with our employees and neighbors to supply Hurricane Readiness resources as we prepare for the 2018 Hurricane Season.
