FAA clears Amazon for drone tests
As a follow up to an interesting story we shared last year, Amazon has received clearance from the FAA to test delivery of small packages via drones in Seattle.
FedEx buys TNT for $4.8 billion
Why is FedEx’s plan to purchase TNT more likely to be approved by EU regulators than the 2013 bid by UPS? An excellent article from Wall Street Journal details that the new FedEx footprint in Europe would increase to 22% market share and make it a true competitor to UPS & DHL in that market. EU regulators had denied the UPS bid because it would have too much market share and could limit consumer options.
