Cuba-US relations update:
Secretary Kerry visits Miami, weighs in on Carnival Cruise line policy excluding Cuban Americans
This week U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry visited Miami to discuss the diplomatic re-engagement of Cuba with Cuban-American leaders and speak at Miami Dade College for its Honors Ceremony.
Sec. Kerry condemned Carnival Cruise Line’s adherence to a Cuban law which does not allow Cuban born citizens to return to the island via boat. Carnival is now sailing to Cuba from Port Miami and its policy to exclude Cuban Americans has caused considerable controversy.
