Hurricane Milton is a powerful hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico tracking towards Tampa, Florida. While Miami is not in the projected path of the strongest winds around the eye of the hurricane, South Florida will experience heavy rainfall and strong winds. The storm is expected to make landfall on Wednesday night.

WTDC is monitoring the availability of port operators for cargo and empty container pick up as well as receiving empty containers and cargo. Trucking routes may also be affected by heavy traffic in central and northern Florida along evacuation routes. These conditions are changing as the storm nears Florida.
