WTDC Goes Green:

Recycling Program & Paperless FTZ Files, Did you know that Foreign Trade Zones are no longer required to keep paper backups on-site for each Zone admission? WTDC keeps track of all the necessary documentation within its Warehouse Management System and backs up data to the cloud. WTDC also rolled out our new recycling program at the beginning of November. We negotiated with Waste Management to replace one of our regular trash pickups with recycling pick up. WTDC employees and tenants are encouraged to use the recycle bins placed throughout the offices and common areas. WTDC had previously cut down on paper waste by reducing printed materials for meetings and by using non-disposable cups for our morning coffee. Click [6]here or below to read the entire article. There are a number of products, such as some electronics from China, that are subject to a new 25% tariffs. Exporters are using FTZs instead of passing this direct cost on to their customers. Of course, we at WTDC have been banging the FTZ drum for years and we are excited to have so many more companies interested in learning about and managing in FTZs!
