TFWA: Cannes cleanup will be complete in time for Duty-Free Show
Each year in Cannes, France, the Tax-Free World Association (TFWA) hosts the World Exhibition and Conference, the world’s largest Duty-Free Show. The buildup talk of this year’s show, scheduled for October 18-23 in the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, has not been the new products and exhibitors at the showcase but the recovery of the city of Cannes after flash flooding tragically hit the French Riviera in the first week of October. TFWA President Erik Juul-Mortensen expressed his condolences for the families affected by the storm and said that while technical issues such as internet connectivity still remain for parts of the city, those should be resolved this week and the show should be able to proceed as scheduled without incident.
