New services from Hapag-Lloyd and Seaboard Marine have complimented the $1.3 billion infrastructure improvements made to the port. This action follows last week’s announcement that the U.S. has issued a travel advisory to its citizens visiting Cuba and has ordered all non-essential diplomats and their families to return from the U.S. Embassy in Havana, Cuba. While the Cuban government has denounced the attacks and the U.S. has not formally blamed Cuba for the incident, the U.S. has taken the stance that Cuba has failed to protect the health and wellness of U.S. citizens on the island. Sergio’s Restaurant’s aid in Puerto Rico relief efforts Sergio’s Restaurant opened its doors as a drop off point for food and supply donations to aid Puerto Rico in its recovery from Hurricane Maria. Carlos Gazitua, CEO of Sergio’s Restaurant, explained that their community restaurants were a reliable and familiar place for concerned South Florida citizens to drop off supplies that would later be collected and transported to the island by Headquarter Toyota. Florida Governor Rick Scott’s event stopped by Sergio’s Restaurant to lend a helping hand to the relief efforts. He is pictured below (right) with Carlos Gazitua, Sergio’s Restaurant CEO (left).
