WTDC is committed to maintaining a safe, secure, and compliant environment for our employees, customers, visitors, and business partners. Our safety and security programs combine employee training, facility controls, regulatory compliance, emergency preparedness, and continuous improvement.

Safety

Our team follows established procedures designed to protect employees, visitors, cargo, equipment, and the surrounding community. Regular training, inspections, and safety meetings help reinforce accountability throughout the organization.

WTDC has achieved more than 8,000 consecutive days without a lost-time accident on July 8, 2026, reflecting nearly 22 years of disciplined safety practices and employee commitment.

Our safety program includes:

AED Equipment and Training
Automated External Defibrillators are maintained in accessible facility locations. Employees receive instruction on their proper use during a medical emergency.

Biannual Fire Drills
Fire drills are conducted twice each year to reinforce evacuation procedures, emergency communication, employee accountability, and designated assembly areas.

CPR and First Aid Training
Designated employees receive CPR and first aid training to support a timely and organized response to workplace medical emergencies.

Drug-Free Workplace and Random Drug Screening
WTDC maintains a drug-free workplace program consistent with applicable Florida requirements. Employees may be subject to random drug screening, as well as testing permitted under company policy and applicable law. The program supports workplace safety, employee well-being, regulatory compliance, and the safe operation of vehicles, forklifts, and warehouse equipment.

Emergency Action Planning
WTDC maintains emergency response procedures for hurricanes, flooding, fires, severe weather, medical incidents, hazardous materials, power interruptions, and other potential disruptions.

Equipment Inspections and Preventive Maintenance
Forklifts, loading equipment, dock areas, fire protection systems, emergency lighting, and other operational equipment are inspected and maintained according to established schedules.

Fire Protection Plan
WTDC maintains a monitored fire alarm system, wet-pipe sprinklers, fire extinguishers, fire hoses, and established emergency response procedures. The program is maintained in accordance with Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department (MDFRD) requirements and inspections.

Forklift Training and Certification
Employees authorized to operate powered industrial trucks receive formal instruction, practical training, evaluation, and periodic recertification.

Hazard Communication
Employees receive information regarding workplace hazards, chemical labeling, Safety Data Sheets, proper handling procedures, and required personal protective equipment.

Hazardous Materials Training
Employees involved in the handling, storage, or transportation of regulated materials receive training appropriate to their responsibilities.

Incident Reporting and Corrective Action
Workplace incidents, near misses, unsafe conditions, and potential hazards are documented, reviewed, and addressed through corrective and preventive actions.

Management Safety Training
Managers and supervisors receive safety training to help them identify risks, enforce procedures, document incidents, and promote a strong safety culture.

OSHA Compliance Reviews
WTDC reviews its operations, policies, training programs, and facility conditions using applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards and industry best practices.

OSHA Training for Management
Management personnel participate in OSHA-focused training covering workplace responsibilities, hazard identification, accident prevention, recordkeeping, and employee protection.

Partnership with the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office

WTDC maintains a long-standing partnership with the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office Neighborhood Resource Unit to help protect our facility, employees, tenants, customers, and visitors.

Personal Protective Equipment
Safety equipment is provided based on job responsibilities and operating conditions. This may include safety vests, gloves, protective eyewear, hard hats, masks, and other required equipment.

Safety and Security Meetings
Regular meetings provide employees and management with an opportunity to review procedures, discuss potential hazards, evaluate incidents, and address emerging safety or security concerns.

Safety Signage and Restricted Areas
Operational zones, pedestrian pathways, loading areas, emergency exits, hazardous areas, and restricted locations are clearly identified.

Warehouse Housekeeping Standards
Aisles, exits, docks, storage areas, and workstations are regularly reviewed to reduce trip hazards, prevent blocked access, and maintain an orderly working environment.

Security

WTDC maintains a layered security program designed to protect employees, cargo, customer information, facilities, and international supply chains. Physical security controls are supported by employee training, access procedures, cargo inspections, cybersecurity protections, and regulatory compliance.

As a Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT)-certified company, WTDC supports U.S. Customs and Border Protection initiatives that strengthen international supply chain security.

Access Control Procedures
Access to operational and restricted areas is limited to authorized employees, approved visitors, customers, vendors, and drivers.

Cargo and Seal Verification
Shipment documentation, container seals, trailer seals, cargo markings, and physical cargo conditions are reviewed when applicable.

Computer Firewalls and Network Protection
WTDC uses firewalls, access controls, authentication procedures, system monitoring, and other technical safeguards to help protect company and customer information.

Container and Conveyance Inspections
Containers, trailers, and other conveyances are inspected using established security procedures before loading, unloading, or acceptance when required.

Cybersecurity Monitoring
Company systems and networks are monitored for suspicious activity, unauthorized access, malware, phishing attempts, and other potential cyber threats.

Cybersecurity Training
Employees receive cybersecurity awareness training covering password security, phishing, suspicious emails, data handling, system access, and incident reporting.

Denied-Party and Sanctions Compliance
WTDC supports appropriate screening and compliance practices involving the Consolidated Screening List (CSL), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctions, and other applicable restricted-party requirements.

Emergency and Security Incident Reporting
Employees are trained to promptly report suspicious activity, unauthorized access, damaged seals, cargo discrepancies, cybersecurity incidents, and other potential security concerns.

Export Administration Regulations Awareness
WTDC supports compliance with applicable Export Administration Regulations and follows established procedures for cargo that may require licensing, screening, or additional review.

Facility Perimeter Security
The property is protected through controlled access points, perimeter barriers, lighting, surveillance technology, and established visitor and vehicle procedures.

Phytosanitary and Wood Packaging Standards
WTDC supports applicable phytosanitary requirements, including the inspection and identification of regulated wood packaging materials when required.

Security Lighting
Interior and exterior lighting supports visibility around entrances, exits, parking areas, loading docks, warehouse aisles, and perimeter locations.

Security Motion Camera and Alarm System
Motion-activated cameras and alarm systems monitor key areas of the warehouse, offices, entrances, loading areas, and property perimeter.

Sound Monitoring Along Facility Walls
Facility walls are monitored using sound-detection technology designed to identify unusual activity or potential unauthorized entry attempts.

Visitor, Vendor, and Driver Identification
Visitors, vendors, contractors, and drivers are required to follow identification, registration, escort, and restricted-access procedures.

360-Degree Ceiling Motion Sensors
Ceiling-mounted sensors provide 360-degree motion detection throughout designated warehouse areas and support continuous facility monitoring.
