PortMiami saw record cruise passengers in FY2025
PortMiami announced strong results for Fiscal Year 2025 (October 1, 2024–September 30, 2025), with growth in both cruise and cargo operations.
The port welcomed a record 8.56 million cruise passengers, up 4% from the previous year and the highest annual total in its history.
Cargo operations also performed well, with 1.12 million TEUs handled—an increase of 2.35% year over year—marking the 11th consecutive year PortMiami has surpassed one million TEUs.
“PortMiami’s record performance across both cruise and cargo operations reflects the dedication of our entire team and the strength of our partnerships with the cruise industry, cargo carriers, and the business community,” said Hydi Webb, PortMiami Director and CEO.
“As we continue to expand and modernize our facilities, our focus remains on providing safe, efficient, and resilient operations that support Miami-Dade County’s economic growth and strengthen our position as a global gateway for travel and trade.”

Magaya Momentum
On December 19, WTDC had the pleasure of welcoming Magaya’s marketing team to our company as Magaya promotes the launch of a new magazine Momentum – which features WTDC & Magaya case study – and The Momentum Conference in April 2026.
We had a spirited conversation with Alfred Murgado, Magaya Director of Growth Marketing, Daniela Rodriguez, Magaya Marketing Program Specialist, and Jeanette Fonseca, Magaya VP of Account Management, about our continued partnership, what’s ahead in 2026 for both companies, and we accepted a generous donation to our Pajama Drive. Pajama Drive for His House Children’s Home
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our WTDC community, we successfully wrapped up WTDC’s 11th Annual Pajama Drive with an amazing total of 280 pajamas donated! These cozy gifts were delivered to the wonderful children of His House Children’s Home, helping ensure every child in their care received a new pair of pajamas this Christmas season.
We are grateful to everyone who donated and supported this effort. Thank you WTDC General Manager Ginger Diez for overseeing the Pajama Drive and our year-round support of His House. From all of us at WTDC, thank you for making this season brighter for so many.

MIA adds 2240 parking spaces with new Ibis Garage
On December 19, Miami International Airport (MIA) hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly opened Ibis Garage. The seven level garage adds 2,240 parking spaces at MIA which now has 10,500 spaces across all garages.
