Sean Gazitua honored at FIU Alumni Cocktail Reception  
On May 14, WTDC President & CEO Sean Gazitua was honored at the FIU Alumni Cocktail Reception for completing his term as President of the FIU Alumni Association Board of Directors. He was presented with a customized FIU Football jersey and recognized by Incoming President Manny Niebla and Chief Alumni Officer Sara DuCuennois. He also had an opportunity to address the room full of FIU Alumni and supporters.

Surrounded by family and friends. Mr. Gazitua invited attendees to serve as ambassadors for FIU by sharing its progress and opportunities with their personal and professional networks. Congratulations, Sean, on the completion of your term. You greatly elevated the profile and impact of the Board. Miami International Airport announces digital montoring hub   On May 18, Miami International Airport revealed plans for an Airport Operations Center (AOC) and Digital Monitoring Hub. The $33 million operations and emergency response facility will be the first of its kind in the US. It is scheduled for completion in 2027.

Equipped with AI-powered long-range pan-tilt-zoom cameras, real-time digital tower technology, and a massive HD-quality integrated panoramic video wall, the facility will have 360° visibility of MIA’s airside, landside, and terminal areas for best-in-class security and safety awareness.    Miami-Dade County Mayor unveils plans for first airport-wide digital monitoring hub in the U.S.    



WTDC’s 4th Annual Water Drive for His House  
Thank you for your generous donations! Join WTDC’s 4th Annual Water Drive in support of His House Children’s Home! Help the children in His House’s care prepare for hurricane season by donating mini 8 oz water bottles or 1 gallon jugs. Donations accepted through June 5th. His House Children’s Home is a private non-profit, faith-based organization dedicated to bringing healing and hope to the lives of children from newborn to 18 years of age.   Email for Donation details!    

       
Hurricane Season  
June 1 marks the beginning of the Atlantic hurricane season. While we hope that severe weather will not impact our area this year, it is always best to be prepared. WTDC follows the guidance and emergency protocols established by Miami-Dade County and will communicate any operational updates as needed.

We encourage all employees to review their personal hurricane preparedness plans and stay informed throughout the season. Rotterdam services: FCL and LCL   WTDC is expanding its ocean freight capabilities on the Miami–Rotterdam corridor, delivering a fully managed inbound experience for European consignees receiving goods from the United States.
