Recap of FL Governor Rick Scott’s May trade mission to Chile
Florida Governor Rick Scott traveled to Chile on a trade mission during the last week of May. Over 100 executives, politicians, and trade related officials made the trip including Bill Johnson, PortMiami Port Director, and Steven Cernak, Port Everglades Chief Executive & Port Director, and Phil Brown, Greater Orlando Aviation Executive Director.
Jose Perez-Jones, Seaboard Marine Senior Vice President, received an award for his continued commitment to promote Florida trade and transportation within Latin America. Governor Scott also announced that Chilean company Crystal Lagoons Corp, creators of the world’s largest pool, are relocating their corporate offices to Miami. Ralph L. Chile ranks sixth among Florida’s top products export destinations, having amassed more than $3.9 billion in exports in 2011. Florida exports to Chile increased by 24.3 percent from October 2011 to October 2012.

Sean P. Gazitua, WTDC Vice President of Sales & Marketing, is an active alumni of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity at Florida International University.
