U.S. and China Agree on 90-Day Tariff Truce U.S. President Donald Trump, and Chinese President Xi Jin ping agreed to hold off on implementing additional tariffs that were slated to begin January 1, 2019, during a dinner at the G-20 summit in Buenos Aires this past weekend.
The U.S. and China will use the next 90-days to negotiate disagreements on issues such as agriculture and intellectual property. A White House statement mentions that if an agreement is not made within the next 90-days, the 10 percent tariff will be raised to 25 percent

[3] U.S., Mexico, & Canada Sign Revised Trade Agreement
On Friday, November 30th, the leaders of Canada, Mexico, and the U.S.singed a revised trade deal in Buenos Aires on the first day of the G-20 summit. The aim of this revised agreement is to improve “continental commerce and making it easier for companies to move goods and supplies across borders”. However, the legislative bodies of these countries still have to ratify the deal. Additionally, President Trump expressed his plans to officially withdraw from NAFTA following the G-20 summit. Chairman Ralph L. Gazitua Speaks on Corporate Health and Wellness Panel On Thursday, November 29th, The Business Forum Group held its ‘Doral Health and Wellness All-Star Showcase’ and our Chairman Ralph L. Gazitua spoke on a panel about WTDC’s Health and Wellness program. Mr. Gazitua explained how these programs are essential for leading a balanced life while working in a corporate work environment.

[6] New Intern Joins WTDC Team
Welcome to our new Spring Intern, Paolo Ariano, Florida International University, 2019. He will be joining our Sales and Marketing department.
Mr. Ariano majors in Economics with a minor in Statistics. After graduating he plans to attend Graduate school to pursue an MS in Finance and International Real Estate at FIU. We are excited to have him as part of the WTDC team! Next newsletter we will introduce Mr. Anthony Sleiman, another FIU student, who will join us in Spring 2018.
The end of the fall semester results in 3 Student Interns leaving our ranks. We would like to send our heartfelt thanks and best wishes to our Interns: Ms. Gabriella Tejeda, University of Miami, Mr. Matias Pinochet, FIU, and Mr. Jake Lip man, Ohio University. Mr. Lip man graduates next week from Ohio! We look forward to hearing great things from all of them in the future
Marcello Cardillo, our Customer Service Representative, will be studying next year in Holland. Great adventures in academics and life await them all and we are happy to be a part of their professional journey!
WTDC’s Daniel Fajardo a guest speaker at FIU Language Day
WTDC Accounting specialist Daniel Fajardo was invited to speak at FIULanguage Day. He spoke about his experience learning different languages like Portuguese and English at FIU. He discussed the necessity of being multilingual in the logistics industry and how it has helped him succeed professionally.
[7] WTDC Holiday Potluck To kick off the holiday season, WTDC held a Thanksgiving potluck. Our diverse staff brought together an assortment of culturally inspired dishes, as well as traditional American Thanksgiving staples. In addition to our lovely feast, we surprised WTDC Transportation Manager Castell Chavez with a baby shower to celebrate her pregnancy.
Pajama Drive for His House
Please join WTDC as we support the children of His House Children’s Home with our 4th annual Pajama Drive. We will be accepting donations of new pajamas for children from the ages of newborn to 18. The drive will last until December 14th, 2018. We hope to surpass last year’s donations and provide even more pajamas for the children who need them most this holiday season!
